FragranceIQ is a perfume price-intelligence platform for Australian buyers. We track fragrance prices across major retailers, keep 90 days of history for every bottle size, and run an explainable decision engine that tells you — with reasons — whether now is the moment to buy or whether waiting is likely to save you money.

How the AI verdicts work

Every verdict (Good deal · Buy now · Wait · Overpriced) comes from a transparent rule pipeline over real market signals: the current lowest price, the 90-day average and low, the price trend, and how often the fragrance goes on sale. No black boxes — the exact reasoning is printed under every verdict.

How we make money

Some outbound retailer links are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, the retailer may pay us a commission at no cost to you. Verdicts and rankings are never influenced by commission rates.

The assistant

The AI fragrance assistant answers natural questions (“a summer fragrance under $120”) using only our own catalog and live pricing — recommendations are grounded, never invented.

The catalog spans 240+ fragrances across 50+ houses — from designer staples (Dior, Chanel, Versace, YSL) through niche heavyweights (Creed, Parfums de Marly, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Amouage, Xerjoff) to the value houses rewriting the budget tier (Lattafa, Armaf). Every fragrance is tracked across the major Australian retailers in every common bottle size, alongside community reviews, price alerts, a collection manager, and editorial buying guides and a journal written for Australian buyers.

Our principles

Three rules govern the platform. Explainability: every verdict prints its reasoning, and a recommendation we cannot explain is a recommendation we do not make. Independence: no retailer or brand can pay for placement, rankings, or verdicts — commercial relationships never touch the engine. Honesty about limits: every price we show is live and verified from a real retailer, and where our price history is still thin we say so rather than dress it up.

Who builds this

FragranceIQ is an independent Australian project, built in Sydney by fragrance enthusiasts who got tired of watching the same bottle swing 40% between stores in a fortnight. Questions, corrections and retailer enquiries are welcome via the contact page.
